how to get the Real Wechat? i have uninstalled and downloaded latest version with my mobile and it’s show this message again(unofficial version). also it says can recover my banned account by sending verification code by other PH number but my country is not included in region (Myanmar) .
i sign up with Myanmar ph number as it’s included this region and i was possible to use for few days, but how come it’s not included Myanmar for this recovery process. my friends form oversea could help but each days still appearing after recovery.

If you are in Myanmar, it looks like you are out of luck. WeChat can tell where you are and, since your country is not included in the list, it looks like they won’t support profiles from there. On the other hand, someone may be intercepting your data stream. Since Myanmar was included once and it isn’t now, something must have changed. We suspect it’s Myanmar that’s the problem, not WeChat. hi, recently i have had some strange happenings on my wechat.. a couple of semi regular contacs have been deleted and when i add them back they dont know anything about it
Today i tried to log out of my account and could not….sent a snapshot to a friend of the screen and it showed i had to register a password to log out!…how is this possible? surely there is a password set from the beginning ?..please help
Are you using WeChat on a mobile device or are you using Bluestacks on a computer? Are you using any helper appsfor QQ or have you downloaded any files from someone else? It seems that you have a virus. WeChat’s behavior is similar to a virus infection on a computer. You don’t need a password to log out but it’s a great way for a virus to steal your password. We would delete the app and start again. Delete any helper apps that you might have installed. If you are using Bluestacks, you’re on your own. I have had a lot of problems with my PC as well ( to the point that i stopped using it after my son discovered a virus on it for the 3rd time) and i wonder if this is somehow linked?. i am using wechat on a mobile device that i use for email and internet access etc everyday at work and the opinion was that someone had accessed my system( i have been chided for not being very security consciuos before)………is this possible if someone had hacked my wechat account, i.e. to infiltrate other systems ?
Sure, either way is possible. WeChat might be the way into your mobile device or it might have been hacked through another app. Save your contact list and messages then delete WeChat (after you have linked an email account and/or phone number to it). Reset your phone to its default factory settings then reinstall the real WeChat. Don’t add third party apps, don’t accept software from anyone and make sure that you don’t click on any attachments in any email. Depending on what business you are in, this hacking may affect your job so make sure you’re up to date on all areas of security. Good luck and thanks for commenting.

Not that we know of. If you signed up for WeChat in China, different rules apply. If you signed up for it in India, you should be able to get into your account by using your linked email address. Think about it. How would your account get banned? Someone, one of your contacts, has reported you to WeChat. Maybe they have reported you many times. With 300 million users, WeChat cannot possibly sift through every chat or every Moment that people post, looking for people to ban. You’re been reported by someone. You don’t know what they are doing with your account or your information or, indeed, your chats. You have to use the phone number that you linked to WeChat, right? If you didn’t link a phone number to your WeChat account, you can’t recover the account. You can use email but, again, if you didn’t link an email account to WeChat, that is impossible. How does WeChat know it is you? What has changed? New phone? New mobile device? Nothing? If you are using the same device and you can still use your phone number to call people, it seems that someone might have hacked your account. There’s nothing you can do. Think about it. Without a password and the correct phone number, why would WeChat let you into your account? How do they know it’s you and not a stranger trying to hack your account? They wouldn’t. Make sure you use the correct country code and that there are no typos. Spacing may or may not be a problem. Try it with spaces and without. If your number is current (still working), you shouldn’t have a problem. By the way, are you sure you’re describing the problem correctly? If you sign up for an account and verify it with a phone number, the code you seem to have gotten would already have gone to your phone, right? You enter that code in the space on WeChat. Don’t close down WeChat or you’ll have to do it all again. Keep WeChat open after you ask them to send the verification code. That will come through in an SMS or by voice. Is there any app which links Wechat from the PC? I first installed my Wechat in my Smartphone, due to certain reasons, now I could only use it from the PC. I’ve used Bluestacks, but encountered many problems as mentioned as above; account blocked and only could retrieve it by using verfication codes sent by SMS.

Hey guys, I know that many people have the same problem. I used my wechat for a year in China, unfortunately I forgot my password. When I left China, my wechat logged out by itself and now, because I cannot recieve sms message with the verification code, it’s impossible to get it back. My wechat was only connected to my chinese number which is usless now. I also wrote 2 e-mails to wechat support, but nobody answered. Can you help me to solve this problem, how I can get it back?
We can’t think of a way around this. Unless you can remember the password, you’re out of luck. How is WeChat going to know that it is you requesting the password recovery? It could be anyone, right? If you still have the SIM (or whatever) from your old phone, have a friend use it to get the SMS. That’s the only way we can think of to do it. Good luck! Thanks for commenting.

In that case, the only option, is to send my SIM card to China and my friend will help me to recieve sms. Just so you know, maybe for future reference, WeChat and QQ offer ‘contact backup’. As far as we know, this is only for QQ users. Once you upload your contact list to QQ’s servers, you can access it online. It is permanent, not time limited like the normal WeChat backup is. This probably won’t help you now but we just discovered this on one of our accounts. You have to use your QQ password to confirm the upload, something that may be risky for you if you send your SIM back to China. Then again, your WeChat and your QQ accounts have the same password. Im also banned, must be something to do with using bluestacks as well as mobile device. I cant recover my account because it says my mobile number is invalid. Is there a way to get recovery code through email? If not should i ask for a friends number to use to get code?
The problem with using a friend’s number is that they can take over your account at any time. It’s up to you. We’re starting a series, The Ultimate WeChat Guide, today. Remember that some phones/plans cannot receive these kind of SMS messages. Are you using the right number and country code combination? Once you click ‘Send Verification Code’, another screen comes up. There is a spot on that page to enter the code. You have to do it all at the same time: fill in the details, send for the verification code, wait for it then enter it in the space. Hi, I recently made a WeChat account with Bluestacks. But everytime i close it, the next time i want to log in it says that my account has been logged in somewhere else, that it is closed and needs my number to send a verification code to. The weird thing is that I do not have a smart phone, which means I only accessed my account through bluestacks. Today, when i tried the link you gave above, it said my number was invalid. The problem is a disconnect between Bluestacks and WeChat. When you use WeChat through Bluestacks, WeChat sees it as a device with a specific identification code or IP address, maybe even a country code. Bluestacks is intercepting your interactions with WeChat, kind of like a translation app. Making an account using Bluestacks isn’t a good idea. Deal directly with WeChat and use a smart phone, not Bluestacks. Once you’ve done that, use Bluestacks all you want but you’ll probably have to put up with the verification every time you login to your account. Using Bluestacks in place of owning a smartphone doesn’t seem to work, right? We’ve always advised our readers NOT to use third party apps with WeChat or any other app. You’re trusting one company with another company’s data and, when you think about it, your own data. Yes. You can use WeChat on any mobile device but you have to have a smartphone for account recovery. Use it on a tablet, no problem but if you lose access to your account, you must have a smartphone.

One of two things happened, from our experience anyway. Someone got your password and logged in from another device. Or, one of WeChat’s updates forced you to login again. The second one happens to us now and then, not for every update but for some. Unfortunately, there is no solution. How is WeChat going to know that it’s you who requires your password? Without the original number and/or email address, it’s impossible for WeChat to securely reset your password. You must ensure that you enable Account Protection if WeChat is important to you. Go to this site: https://support.wechat.com/cgi-bin/mmsupport-bin/readtemplate?t=weixin_unlock_self&step=0 (copy and paste it into your browser) and fill in the details. In your case it would be your username then your current phone number and the ‘captcha’ letters. We doubt that this will work since your current number isn’t registered with WeChat. If you can’t access your old phone number, we think WeChat will refuse to recover your account. Sorry. Try anyway and good luck!

It seems that you’re logging in from a new device, right? WeChat doesn’t recognize the new device so it’s asking for verification. This is to protect your account. If you have changed your phone number and you haven’t unlocked your old number, you can’t get into your account. If you still have your old phone, log in on it, release your old number and use an email for verification. Then log in on your new device and wait for the email verification. There’s no way you can get it back, sorry. Check through your normal set of passwords. Maybe you used one of those. WeChat needs one of two current verifiers: your phone number or an email address. You don’t need both, just one of the two. If you don’t have either one, you are locked out for good. 1. No, you can’t log into your account from more than one device at a time. If you log in on one device, you are automatically logged out of any other device that you might have logged in on. When you go back to use the other device, you have to sign in with your password.
2. Yes, blocking a person also deletes their conversations.
3. Only if you have enabled SMS verification. Once you do that, you receive an SMS message whenever you or someone else tries to log in from a separate device. That’s a good way to protect your account.

We would guess that one of your friends is reporting you to WeChat. When that happens, your account is suspended. Someone doesn’t want you using WeChat, that’s our guess. The WeChat recovery system doesn’t seem to work very well at all. It seems that it’s saying you have already recovered another account with that phone number, right? Are you trying to change phone numbers or recover a blocked account? If you are trying to change numbers, remove your old number from the account, back up your contacts and chats, then sign in on your new device and register that number to your account. WeChat has to have either a registered phone number or a confirmed email account. You can’t remove your old number until you activate an email account. Good luck and thanks for commenting. I used for only 2 weeks and it banned my account 4 times, and when I tried to recover it, it says my phone number “is not available”. So every time I had to find a virtual phone number online to receive SMS. Most them are “not available”. When I found an available one, most times it could not receive the SMS sent by Wechat. When I finally found one and recovered my account, my account was banned one or two days later, some times I didn’t even post anything, just log on once or twice, then my account was banned again.
If that is happening, it’s because your account has been compromised. By that we mean that another app, maybe something you have downloaded or installed on your phone, is using WeChat for spam or some other kind of distribution. Anyone who uses helper apps for WeChat is asking for trouble. Start with a fresh device, one that is free of any helper apps, and we think you’ll be fine. Something is going on but it’s not WeChat. We’ve had the same account for years and nothing has happened to it. We just did a search and there are many apps based on WeChat. To you and other readers, stay away from them. It was automatically log out my account when I update the latest version on 26th Dec 2014. I was forgot my password and I get a new password via email. But it shown “email is not exist”. I just tried another way to get password via phone. When I get a new password and log in, it was seen like create new account. My friend ask me why I create a new one. That’s means my previous account still available. I had tried to uninstall and re-install WeChat apps but the problem still there. Any advise?
Unless you can remember your password, there’s not much you can do. Make sure you typed your email address correctly with no typos, etc. Did you change phones? Your contacts aren’t kept online so you have to save them to WeChat’s servers temporarily then download them again to your new phone. How did your friend know that you got a new account? Did you add them or contact them? Can they see your old account? Do they have both of your accounts on their contact list? We’re shooting out possibilities here. We really can’t help much beyond that. Unfortunately many things on the Internet are based on passwords. If you forget that password, you’re more than likely out of luck. Sorry. My account got banned for an unknown reason. I tried the account recovery process. It’s a very stupid process, esp, its CAPTCHA characters, almost impossible to read.
I did get a verification code, however whenever I typed the code, it got me again to the same recovery page. It was extremely frustrating…
If you can’t read the CAPTCHA characters, click on the “Try different one” link. As for the problem with the verification code, try using a different browser. If that doesn’t work then your account might be banned permanently. That’s up to WeChat. You can try contacting them but setting up a new account might be easier. Good luck and thanks for commenting.

My 3 accounts are blocked. I have 10 phone numbers Linked to wechat. I am afraid to login through other 7 accounts may be they are also got blocked. I log in through same phone for every account, is that a problem?
We think the problem is whatever you’re doing to get blocked. If you’re using WeChat to spam people, you’ll get blocked. WeChat doesn’t block you for no reason.

You can’t. Your confirmation codes or texts would be sent to your old number. Unless you have one of the three items WeChat needs to confirm who you are, there’s nothing you can do. Thanks for commenting.

Not even your phone number? Your QQ? How did you sign in initially? You need something unless you used a fake email. In that case no, you can’t recover your account.
