WeChat Shake Problem Solved! (Thanks to one of our readers.)

We’ve had dozens of questions about the WeChat Shake problem.  Users who are ‘shaking’, often get results that seem to be from China, not their own country. This is how one of our readers solved this WeChat Shake problem:

1. Go to your storage settings.

2. Clear the WeChat cache.

3. Move WeChat storage to your SD card.

4. Clear your data.

5. Login and the problem should be solved. Good luck!

  1. I have WeChat on my iPad and on my iPhone
    Shake was working fine on both.
    I updated my iPad WeChat an now it only gives Chinese people
    My iPhone that has not been updated still gives people from all over the world
    Both devices are at the same place at the same time running the same OS.
    The only difference is that WeChat has been updated on one.

    1. No idea, sorry. Stick to using your phone, we’d say and don’t update WeChat, if you can avoid it. To be honest, we can’t remember ever updating WeChat but maybe the update was in the ‘update all’ string. It would be interesting to know if the current ban in the U.S. will affect either your Play Store or ours. We suspect that ours would be affected more than yours, though. Thanks for commenting.
