It looks like someone logged in to your account and changed the password. We can keep WeChat open on our phone for months, years, as long as we want. It would never log out automatically. Somehow, someone hacked your account. Good luck and thanks for commenting.

Are you inside of China? We’ve never been asked anything about a passport number for verification by WeChat. There is no place in our security settings for a passport number. Our WeChat is all in English, even the error messages. If you are getting Chinese messages about errors, we think you may have installed helper apps. If you can still sign in on your old phone, make sure you have all forms of security set up on it. Are you keeping the same phone number? I have installed WeChat on my Blackberry Z30 via BB world (official appstore of Blackberry !!!) and logged on through my phone number. Everything was going well until… 24 hours later… WeChat was logged out and don’t let me to log on warning me with this message “You’re using non-official version of WeChat. On the Blackberry world download page, there are listings of Supported Carriers, Supported Devices and Supported Countries. Check that. If your situation doesn’t match those on the page, you’re out of luck. Reading the comments below the download links, it seems that many other people are getting blocked too. WeChat is free. Have you reset your phone back to factory specs? If you’re using a flash memory card, consider taking it out or formatting it again. Hello! I rlly have a serious problem! When i try to log in to my wechat a/c , it says that my a/c is blocked due to suspicion and in order to unblock it they ask me to follow some steps! Hi, I recently made a WeChat account to communicate with some friends that live in China. I made the account and got the qr codes of several of my friends. The next day, I opened the app and it asked me to log in again, but my password did not work. I went through the steps of recovering the password, but it said that my account was compromised and that I had to have a friend verify me. My friends and I have been trying to verify my account for the past couple days, but are not quite sure how to do it. I also tried recovering my account through the WeChat website in “account recover,” but after filling out the information on the 1st page, the next page just appears blank (I tried it in an incognito window too). I also tried to create a new account, but WeChat said that my phone number was already in use and that I could not make an account. My friends from China are leaving at the end of next week and I really want to be able to friend more of them on WeChat. Please help me as soon as you can and thank you!

Transaction? Are you in China? As far as we know, transactions can only be done inside China. We don’t know what transaction you’re trying to do but we wouldn’t suggest continuing. Make sure you have the proper version of WeChat and that you haven’t added any helper apps. If you do, you’re opening yourself to identity theft. Looks like you’re out of luck with your old account. If your phone was wiped, it still uses the same number, right? If you can’t confirm with an SMS, you’ll have to start fresh. Call WeChat? Tencent is not like Apple. They don’t have a customer service rep sitting at the end of a phone line. It’s a free, convenient app. It’s up to its users to protect their own accounts. We would guess that you’re trying to access the account from another location than the one you used originally. Something has changed and WeChat is trying to protect your account, that’s all. We’re not sure about what happens inside of China with WeChat. We do know that identity thieves often hijack phones and lock any log in attempts then ask questions as if they are trying to help you get back into whatever account you’re locked out of. Every citizen in China has an ID card, of course, but we’re not sure if that is used for WeChat security or not. The suspicious login is probably they know you are from outside of China, although how they know that is uncertain. The fact that you have a mainland number fits with you having an ID card, at least to WeChat. We’re not sure what you can do from here, however. WeChat is simply trying to protect your account. Hey! So I am having trouble about my wechat account, so every time I try to logging into the account it says that my account does not exist . Even though both my password and password is right it said that my account does not exist. I have tried recoving my password(I didn’t forget my passowrd) but when I try it said that my account does not exist. I have always try to recover my account using your method but it still says that my account does not exist. Before ALL of this happened, I happened to be playing in wechat and messing around . In the setting there is a part where it says unbound QQ account with wechat and I accidentally pressed on that(my QQ and wechat number/ID are the same). After 2 days wechat suddenly shut down on my and left me in the login screen. When I try logging in does not work. Is anything still linked to your account? We are guessing that if you signed up with your QQ account and subsequently unlinked the two, WeChat assumed that you were either deleting your WeChat account or that you were going to link another QQ account. It is says that your account doesn’t exist, then it’s been deleted, right? It’s not as if someone hijacked it, it just doesn’t exist. It seems that it’s time to start over, unfortunately. WeChat is trying to prevent your account from being stolen, that’s all. Can you use your linked email account? If not, there is nothing you can do. Just sign up for a new account and start over. Next time, do all of this before you get rid of your old sim and/or phone number. Thanks for commenting.
Hi my account says that I violated we chat policies and permanently blocked and cannot be recovered? I want to know how does it happens coz I only pictures of me and those were no nude or anything. The pictures that is usually upload are those from my job fair trip and during my daily weekend routine which is jogging. My phone was disabled for almost 3 days and I recovered it thru iTunes then after downloading we chat again I can no longer use it.
